Use Google Play Games without a proper Google + account?

I would like to check out some of the gaming features but have no interest in having a Google + account, Facebook or twitter either. Is there a way to do this?

I you've ever signed into Gmail or signed into an Android phone then you automatically have Google+

This isn't true. Newer sign ups automatically have a Plus account though.

To the OP, why do you care if your account is converted to a Plus account, it'll make no difference to you either way. Tbh, I don't think you'll be able to remain in Google's eco-system for much longer without a plus account.

I dont want a google + page like a facebook page

And I have already been using Android for years on my main gmail account, wouldnt want to change now

you can set it so basically nothing is visible on your g+ "page"
