Use Gigabyte SATA or Southbridge -DQ6

Which SATA controller should I use from my OS, the Gigabyte SATA for the Intel?

I would think the Gigabyte since there are only two sataII's for the drives and I plan to mirror them.

If i were to select the Intel SATA' s and tell the OS to RAID them, won't that give me problems in the future when I add and eSata drive.

What is weird is that I used the RAID drivers and XP started on Drive F: for my OS. It saw two "unknown" drives" (maybe the Intel SATA). Is this normal?
