just wondering if it's possible to use a wireless router as kind of a wireless nic... seems like if i set up the routing correctly it ought to work...

since cc has a hs g router for $39 ar and the hs g nic is $69, using 2 routers seems like an interesting workaround... plus it lets me put the thing up on the shelf for better xmission...

Some will, some won't. I've got a pair of Buffalo Tech WBR2-G54 routers doing something similar by bridging the 2 routers via WDS.

I don't know which routers CC has on sale this week so I can't say if the ones you're looking at will work or not.

EDIT: buffalo for $25 after rebate. limit one rebate per household.

2x with half the speed... frys has g nic cards for like 20-30 all the time. theres a deal on a g microsoft card in hotdeals. ...these things aren't expensive. look around.

whats hs? i prefer linksys routers and their 3rd party open source firmwares which are continuously evolving improving
