USC moves to #2 in USA Today polls

1. Ohio State (63) 12-0 1,575
2. USC 9-1 1,444
3. Michigan 11-1 1,428
4. Florida 10-1 1,407

Could it be a foreshadowing of things to come?

thats only the USA Today.

remember that the Computers had Michigan as #1.

Yeah, and with Rutgers previously at #2, they'll move down, leaving OSU at #1, and Michigan/SC rounding out 2 and 3. Since Michigan did have 5/6 comps putting them at #1 they probably will stay at #2 in the computers..so yeah, I guess even if SC gets #2 in the two polls, it'll be too close for them to over take Mich in the overall average.

Interesting...seems like Michigan will be either #2 or #3. Cause im sure they will get a lot of votes in the AP poll.

Harris poll. The AP is not part of the BCS formula.

It will be a sad day for college football if USC or Florida win out and do not play OSU in the title.

Anyone who watched the game yesterday knows that OSU, specifically Troy Smith, allowed Michigan to keep it close. Two unforced fumbles will do that for almost any team.

I noticed the Harris has had michigan a few spots higher than the ap or any other poll all year. so who knows what they'll do now.

Why? USC and Florida shouldn't have lost if they wanted to play in it. Michigan lost to the #1 team in the country, on the road in a close game. The national championship shouldn't be decided on someone's home field.

Then perhaps the Big 10 should also have a conference championship game. The current system is not 'fair' in that all conferences are not set up the same. The other major conferences (other than the Pac 10) have to play an extra game while Michigan gets to sit around and wait on these teams to beat one another.

Your statement also says more than you may have intended. We need a playoff. Instead of having multiple undefeated teams (USC/Auburn) there is a huge possibility that we will have multiple 1 loss teams, and no undefeated team, when all is said and done.

College football is starting to piss me off more and more every year. They need to just get rid of the BCS and go back to the old system if they are not going to give us a playoff imho.

The same could be said for every game that's played away from home.

Its looking more and more like an OSU vs Michigan rematch, or a possible split national title if OSU loses in the championship game and Michigan throttle whomever they play in the Rose Bowl.

It'll all depend on USC/ND next week..

How could it be a split if AP picks USC over UM?

It'll be a good one next week. They almost beat us last year. 😉
