USB3 hub question? Like Firewire?

Howdy...

Waiting on my new rMBP, and I have a question about a USB3 Hub...

I understand that with FW, if you plug a FW400 device into a FW800 hub (with an adapter, let's say), it reduced the speed of all the FW devices on that hub to 400...

I'm wondering if I get a USB 3.0 hub, and have a USB 3 HD and a USB 2 HD plugged in at the same time, with the presence of the USB 2 HD cause all the ports on the hub to run at USB 2 speeds, thereby slowing my USB 3 HD down to USB 2 speeds also?
