usb2 hub with more ports

I have an IBM T40 (notebook) with only 2 built in USB2 ports. Right now I'm having to do too much plugging and unplugging of devices, so I need a hub. I've found 4-port hubs and while I could string multiple hubs together I would rather use less outlets (especially since they seem to come with wallwarts). Are there powered usb2 hubs with more ports available?

I'm looking for 8 ports or more. Rackmount would be great but not essential.

Can you recommend anything?

I want to connect the following to a hub:

1. external sound card *
2. inkjet printer
3. laser printer *
4. mouse
5. scanner
6. flash reader *
7. external hdd *
8. external fdd

if more than 8 is possible:
(these are used only occasionally so plugging/unplugging is less of a nuisance)
9. thumb drive *
10. PDA hotsync
11. webcam
12. MIDI interface

* = usb2

thanks

Common sizes for USB hubs are normally 4 port and 7 port,I`m using a CNET 7 port USB 2.0 powered HUB(model CNUSB-27) that I got yesterday which works great and is small for its size.

If you can live with a 7 port hub then you should put it on your shopping list.

CNET homepage. If you need more ports then do a search with "google" and see what turns up.
