Hey I'm building a new rig and I can't seem to find the correct drivers to get USB 2.0 to work with my Epox Ep-8kda3j mobo. The included readme on the CD is pretty much worthless (my windows update, not surprisingly, does not do what they indicate it will do).

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

edit: im using WinXP with SP2, btw.

Windows XP users must install Service Pack 1, at a minimum, prior to attempting to install this package. Failure to do so will result in the inability to support USB 2.0.

Taken from Nvidia`s website, btw USB 2.0 support is included with Service Pack 1 and above.

Yeah, I saw that too.
I installed winXP and directly went to SP2, though, and in theory SP2 should support USB2.0 the same way SP1 did. I reinstalled my Nvidia drivers after I got SP2.

And it aint working =/

Edit:
I thought my problem might have been leftover drivers, so I installed driver cleaner, took them out, and reinstalled all the drivers. Then my problem escalated to the 'windows cannot boot' stage. Yuck, bad move on my part. Hopefully I don't have to reinstall everything.

Did you check in BIOS to see if USB is enabled etc....also if you look in Device Manager under " USB Serial Bus Controllers" you should see all your USB ports listed there,USB 2.0 is classed as "standard enhanced".

I couldn't find a place to 'enable' USB in BIOS. The thing is, XP is recognizing my USB drives as 1.0 (or 1.1?), not as 2.0. So under device manager I don't see any 'standard enhanced' controllers.

This is going to sound stupid, but.......

When you have everything else up and running, go into device manager and go to USB and tell it to update driver. Then tell it to look for new drivers automatically.

Give it a few mins and it should install the enhanced USB.
