I Finally have DSL  . Now I want to go Wireless. The modem I have is a USB modem, and therefore I need a Router that has a USB interface. Most routers are RJ4, and thats great. But I can't afford to upgrade my modem and get a wireless router :( . Is there any alternatives? Thanks!

Are you sure it is not USB or Ethernet interface? Maybe you can try searching for a USB to Ethernet adapter.

I have a RCA cable modem. When the isp setup for me they connected using usb. I always thought it was a usb modem but then when i checked the back after a few months realised it had a ethernet port.

I bought a netgear network card for like $15, changed usb cable to cat6 and my counterstrike pings immediately dropped by 20ms, from like 70ms with usb to 50 ping.

USB sucks, some1 said to me even the cheapest network card is better than usb for broadband.

I work for the ISP. The modems we supply to people with one computer is a USB only interface ADSL modem. Its only $59 for that reason. It has no ethernet port, we have one with an ethernet port for $89. But I need to go as cheap as I can. My laptop has wifi capabilities. I would need a wifi card for my tower. I've seen ethernet to usb adaptors. I'm guessing i'd need a converter, since its going from usb to ethernet. I am now thinking i would be better off with the $89 modem with ethernet and usb. I cannot afford to go wireless until next month anyway. what would you do in my situation? thanks for the replies, i really appreciate it.
