Hi,

I've got an Antec Performance Plus II case that has the front USB and Firewire ports. Awhile back, I cut the little plastic things that goes over the pines off (there was one for each wire) and they were labeled with what the wire was (+5 volt, data, etc.) Well, I was troubleshooting some connectivity problems on another motherboard with the same case and I have a feeling I have some of the wires wrong or the pin out changed on the motherboard. Does anyone have the data for the wires based on their color? For example, the yellow wire is +5 and the blue wire is data1+, etc.

I'd really appreciate it and thanks in advance for any help.

That's a good question, and thank you very much by the way for the reply, but here's the problem:

I'm wiring this to a P4P800 Deluxe motherboard so it's 2.0. And, when I have them all connected with the new little plastic connector housing I found (just got one off of an unused bracket) things like a Microsoft Optical mouse work, but when I plugged in my camera it said "unknown device" like something wasn't working correctly. The reason I'm pretty sure it's the connection because I knew I had them connected wrong once and the mouse did that, and because that camera worked just fine on another computer with Windows XP.

So, I'm just trying to figure out what could be the problem.

Thanks again for the help.

on the 8rda+ I used 8 wires ans left the ninth pin empty. there are3 ground wires from the front of our antec 1080AMG-- 1 ground wire is actually 2 into one female pin thing; i didn't use thatt one and its working fine

antec calls back same day- 800-22-antec
