I'm heading on a trip this weekend, and my buddy wants to be able to connect his laptop up to the flat screen TV at the other end. However, we're not sure which TV it is, and what connectors it has. He'd like to buy a USB Video-Out type adapter ... can anyone recommend one to me, and let me know where they purchased it?

If so it would be shitty quality.
Use the VGA out to the TV, or use a VGA>component cable (make sure the TV accepts RGB over component.
 
Thanks for the reply ... unfortunately I don't know what the TV is at the other end. I'm going to grab VGA cables, DVI adapters and SVideo cables and hope for the best ...
