usb type install of firefox that won't write to users folder?

one thing i like about opera is it's usb install. it's totally self contained in that folder but i need to move away from opera - can't upgrade to v12 - unstable, and i can't stand their arrogance as a company when it comes to choice.

anyhoo i tried the usbinstall of ffox but it wrote to my users folder and if i block it, then it gives me errors

is there a usb install of firefox that will only write info within the installation folder and nowhere else?

not sure if this is the version you tried but I believe that firefox portable should work.

At least it did when I used to use it during the 3.x versions I have not looked at it lately
