USB tv tuners

Im looking at getting a USB tv tuner for when i get my laptop. My only real requirements are that it is USB and that it has a remote. Besides that i would like it to have an FM tuner but its not too big of a deal. From what i remember ATI used to have the best tv tuners i think but ive been completely detached from computers for about 4 months.

i have one of these

$25 shipped after rebate.

usb 2.0
fm tuner

the only problem I had was that my laptop doesn't have a 'line-in' port so I had to connect earbuds to the 'line-out' of the tuner itself

I saw that on newegg. It looks nice for the price. Hows the video quality?

One thing i noticed is that it seems like ATI comes with some nice software where you can use it like a tivo does this come with anything like that?

quality as good as can be expected. I have a dell 1905FP with a P4 3.0. I wonder if I can send you a screenshot?

It does come with some PVR sw that allows you to record and set up the timer to record in various MPEG formats and burn te saved items to vcd and dvd.

for $25 it not too expensive of a gamble.
