Running NT 4.0 and need to hook up a USB device. I'm looking for an adapter that will hook into the USB and connect with a serial port on my PC. Anybody ever seen such a thing? I ran a few searches, but could only find adapers that converted serial devices to USB.

Thanks!

USB to serial adapters do exist...

I'm not sure if this is the cheapest out there, check pricewatch or something.

But make sure that your device supports both USB and Serial. If it doesn't, then the computer won't be able to receive any data from the device, even if you have the adapter.

NO! You cannot connect an USB device to a serial port. You can, under special conditions, connect a serial device to USB under NT. If your hardware has no USB support, either get a USB PCI card and or upgrade to Win2K.
