usb to rj-45? usb to netgear rt314? HELP!

I have a usb DSL modem, and pacbell wont let me trade it in for a network compatible one that uses an rj-45 jack and then plugs into a NIC card. Is there any way I can connect my usb modem to my Netgear rt314? or do i have to buy a new modem all together? :frown:

i dont think thats possible, the usb is already translated into computer type signal, whereas a rj45 caries ethernet protocol stuff, if you understand that, i cant figure out how to explain it
