My mom has a Sony PCG-SRX99 laptop without an S-Video or Analog output. She needs to do a Powerpoint presentation with a projector and it is an Analog input only. She was considering buying a whole new laptop to solve her problem. My question is, is there a USB or PCMIA card that will have an analog adaptor or something? Maybe even an S-Video out. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! $80 is hell of a lot cheaper than $1000 for a new laptop. Like my mom was gonna do. She already dropped $1000 on the projector.

Bleh, apparently this can't support videos. My mom's crappy $3000 Sony laptop is useless!

From Tritton Tech..
Office Use:
-View large spreadsheets across two screens with display continuity
-Multitask more effectively without overlapping windows
-Open attachments on one screen while reading the e-mail on the other
Mobile Use:
-Do multiple screen displays and presentations without bringing another computer
Graphic Use:
-Use second display for pallets/tools
Data Entry Use:
-Type documents on one screen while viewing reference material on the other
Wall Street:
-Use a notebook for viewing multiple screens
-View charts and live data at the same time
Entertainment:
-View videos/TV on one screen and your desktop on the other screen

The laptop has no way to hook up to an external monitor? Or does it have DVI-out and no VGA?
I'd tell her to take the projector back and get one with inputs(vga/dvi) that she can use without having to jump through hoops..

It doesn't specifically say which monitor to view video on. I would try it.
