USB thumb drive data Encryption?

Hello, I just purchased this USB thumb drive:

I am wondering if I can boot from this device (I see the option in my BIOS to boot usb devices..)
and also.. I want to use drivecrypt or a program to encrypt either my whole hardrive or only allow me to login if I have this device hooked up to the computer (like token authentication.. i see other USB devices do this.. but they are a lot more and I don't really understand the differences between theirs and mine)
