I just got a Lexar 128MB thumb drive (JumpDrive as Lexar callls it) to more easily bring files between home and work. At work we use NT4, I know the computer has USB support, but when I plug in the thumb drive it doesnt do anything. I checked Lexar's website and it doesnt say anything about NT4, but I looked at all the other major thumb drive manufacturers and no one says anything about NT4. Whats the deal?

hi,
the problem is that usb is not supported by nt4 so you cant read or write to the drive.
upgrading to win 2k would be a really good thing.
good luck.

I thought it was supported after service pack 4 or something?

They use USB because it is relatively fast and every MODERN OS can handle it(even linux). Your company should move away from NT4 since MS is going to stop support for the OS soon.

The mfg. of the computer has nothing to do with NT4 or what software is installed on it by your work.

At most the computer may have come with NT4 but that would of had to been a special order made at the request of the person buying those comptuers and having nothing to do with the mfg.
