USB, SVGA, and DVI Keystone Inserts

Howdy,

Does anyone know where to find USB, SVGA, and DVI keystone inserts, wall plates inserts, or just wall plates? I need to find some.

Thanks for your help.

Pete

I have never seen them for sale, I have seen people make them though. What are you want ing to do this for, the maximum length usb supports is oly supposed to be around 15 feet, also dvi isnt rated for much longer than that.

I'm getting built-ins around my fireplace. I want to convert my current rig to an HTPC and also have it available for email and kids games. The pc will be on one side of the fireplace with the monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, and speakers on the other. 15 feet is all I'll need.

Thanks.

Well, you could dig up old cards and such to make your own, that is the only way I have seen it done. I like your idea, but it may prove to be a bit too much work as far as soldering and making your own cables. *Idea* You could use a coupler, like to connect to cables together and fasten it to a wall plate, taht would be cheap and easy, total cost around 50 with cables.

Well a couple of thoughts. For the DVI and VGA, why not by a couple of DVI-VGA type adapters and take the casing apart to attach it to your panel. (they are only a couple of bucks, and I think they also sell extenstion type plugs for them where you would plug a cable into both sides)

For the USB, I would recommend getting something like this, or .this, and then just dissassemble it and attach it to your plate again.(you'll need to get one compatible with your motherboard) You could also purchase a small hub, remove it from it's case and attach it to a panel.
