I have a device that calls for a computer with a USB 2.0 port. My computer only has USB 1.1. Can I use the device without harming it?
 
yes no problems... unless it is a device that requires the extra speed (e.g. an external Mpeg-2 encoder). In that case I will not work properly, but no damage will occur..
