USB problems with Jetway 845CA

A friend of mine just bought this board as a replacement for a fried eMachines he has. I've put in the board and everything seems fine, but it will not detect USB devices. The OS is WinXP with SP2, and the mobo website says that USB support should be installed when the service pack is installed. Still won't detect any USB devices. Any suggestions?
