I installed windows xp on my pc with gigabyte 7VTX-E & Athlon 1600 XP . At first no usb device worked (ms natural keyboard, ms intelimouse explorer , ms sidewinder precision pro), they were found as "unknown device". I went in the bios and removed the legacy keyboard/mouse/fdd option. They all worked , but just MOVING my mouse consumes about 60% of my processor and when it's standing still it consumes 2-30%. Everything works fine in Windows ME.
Please Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

PS I even installed the latest bios version (F4)

Hunter,

I don't know if you ever found this out, but at the amdmb.com Gigabyte forum, it turns out that most people have this problem. A new beta bios, available from a member of that forum, should fix the problem. I have the exact same issue with my vtxh that I just installed. As an alternative, you could purchase a pci usb card, and use that instead.
