USB problems with 8RGA+

Just helped a friend to build a new computer using Thoroughbred 1700, EPOX 8RGA+ and antec lanboy case.
Loaded WinXP enterprise edition with sp1.
The back side USBs work very well. But the front USBs, which are connecting to the motherboard USB pin connectors refuse to work. I double checked the connection, it is fine. But when I plugged in a USB2.0 device, Winxp said "unknown device".
Can someone kindly tell me what's wrong?

Did you reinstall the motherboard drivers after you installed SP1? this might solve the problem.
If not, double check the usb connection setup, remove the connections, setup only one usb and test that, and repeat with the other usb and see if your results are any different.

Whatever you do, make sure Pin #10 of the USB3 header remains unoccupied. What case are you using the front-USB wiring from, is it an Antec or Chieftec?

Thanks a lot, guys!
The winxp that I installed has sp1 integrated. After finishing install winxp, I installed motherboard drivers. So this is not the problem.
I follow the instruction in "*** Official EPoX 8RDA/+ (nForce2) Thread *** " to connect the USB pins, the pin#10 remains unoccupied . The case is Antec lanboy. Could it be the problem of Motherboard?

Maybe you mixed some of the 1's and 2's amongst eachother? All the pins with a 1 go on one row, all the 2's on the other. From left to right, they should go Ground, D+, D-, 5V on both top and bottom rows.
