USB Problems revisited...HELP PLEASE

I posted this about a week ago regarding my USB 2.0 Ports being detected as 1.1
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=27&threadid=1940383&enterthread=y

I have a MSI K9N Platinum board with the nForce 570 Ultra chipset (BIOS 1.2)
nForce 9.16 Drivers
Windows XP SP2

Following the recommendation of some on this forum, I removed all USB-related items from device manager and rebooted. Windows did reinstall the drivers, but when I plugged in my OCZ Rally2 flash drive I got the same familiar message of "High speed device not plugged into high speed port." I tried EVERY USB port on my computer, and even reinstalled my nForce drivers, to no avail. I did notice, however, that when I right-click one of the USB items in device manager, there is an option to "update driver." I tried this, but the wizard could not find the correct driver. Anyone know what this is all about and whether it has anything to do with my USB 2.0 ports being detected as 1.1? Any help would be nice.

i have the same problem as you..
tried all i could but couldn't solve it..

in the end, a cheap pci usb card do the trick 😀

Turns out SP2 wasnt the problem...Windows apparently just didnt install the drivers for my USB controller...after some looking around in device manager i solved the issue and my USB2 works fine now 🙂
