I just installed a brand new Albatron KX18D Pro II motherboard and a Barton 2500+, and all six of my USB ports refuse to work! I'm stuck using an annoying USB to PS2 adapter for my mouse.

A quick look in device manager revealed that my system recognizes the USB controller, but says that no drivers are installed for it. I'm running WinXP Home with Service Pack 1, and I just installed the latest nForce 2 drivers.

Here are my system Specs:

Athlon XP "Barton" 2500+ @ 1.83 GHz
Albatron KX18D Pro II
1 GB (2 x 512MB sticks) Dual-Channel Kingston memory (PC3200 running at PC2700 speeds)
ATI Radeon 9800
120 GB Western Digital Hard Drive with 8MB of cache
Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
Lite-On 52x32x52 internal CDRW
Antec 400W True Power PSU

Please help! This is driving me batty!

Thanks in advance.

MisterRaven: If I'm not mistaken, I believe there were some drivers for this problem on the albatron website. Just purchased the same board myself and still waiting for barton to get here. Hope this helps

Did u plug the USB wires on the right pins your mobo? Cause it kinda often happens that the connectors u get with your front USB plugs or PCI shield plugs have the wires in a different order than the pinout on your board. Take a close look in your manual and look up the pin configuration on your board and then look at the conectors.
