USB problem with a card reader.

When I plug the card reader into the computer, it recogonizes and I can see the files on the CF card. When I try to move the files from the card reader to the computer, the flash drive then goes blank and I won't be able to see the files anymore.

This is not the card readers problem because it works flawlessly on every other computer.

any suggestions?
 
Try transferring files off the CF card using the device that put the files on the card. Does that work alright? If so than it could be a format differance to the card by the two devices.

I have a camera that does this. If I pull the card from the camera and use a card reader, I get what you have talked about above. If I use the camera to transfer then everything works fine.
 
Could it be possible that the CF card is bad? Do you have another card to test with? I had one memory card go bad and it was not readable by the card reader.
