USB problem araise from HIGH fsb

ok...i got my system to run at 170fsb...but now my usb doesn't work right...
it won't detect my digital camera...and my scanner...help...
btw...board is ASUS P4B533 bios v1008

That sucks!!! I have no problems detecting my 3 usb items I have on usb...scanner, priniter, and my old dazzle dvd creation card....All worked perfectly....

Asus doesn't actually have a pci/agp lock, right??? I mean I now you have some turbo 1 setting but it doesn't do 33/66 right??? I wonder if you have an extra usb pci card lying around if that would work....see if it a chipset issue and thus goes back to the question of onbaord devices and ocing!!!!

just cleared cmos...and it works now...but i haven't up the fsb yet...i will update this...
but the board does have pci/agp lock :)
i think it might have something to do with a buggy bios...cause i wasn't able to upgrade my bios to a newer version...

have you tried reinstalling 1008 bios? will it re-take that?

i haven't try since the last time it rejected me...i might need to lower my fsb back to default in order to do so...
argh!

my intellimouse explorer doesn't like the high FSB either. i always just unplug it and replug it in every time i reboot.

Im gonna try maxing out my 1.6a, maybe Ill run into the same problem with my USB, Im also on a P4B533...

Sorry, forgot to check back in, 161fsb and had no problems, Canon 670u scanner, MS Intellimouse and MS Sidewinder and Gravis Gamepad all wored fine for the 2 hours I played games and scanned a few pics.

i guess i didn't have problem when i was back down to 150-160 range...weird...might have to do with the 166Mhz+ limitation on Asus board...
