USB Printing problem on laptop ~ Please Help!

My father has a Compaq Armada 1700 laptop (PII 266, 2 PCMCIA, 1 USB, old, essentially) that he uses for work and things. It's lately decided not to work at all with my Lexmark X63 printer. He needs it to work and gets a bit frustrated with tech problems. He's threatening to take away our cable internet (hey, I'm 14

) If I don't come up with a solution. I've heard there have been problems with older laptops and USB+PCMCIA. The problem is, It refuses to work in general, and he also needs the lan card if that's the problem. I think I'm rambling, but I also upgraded to the latest drivers for both lan card (Farralon NetLine) and printer. Any help is more than welcome!
 
Nevermind, I've got the thing fixed. I ended up just uninstalling the software that came with the printer and just installing the windows drivers. It's working like a charm and 'm very happy 😀
