USB printer probs after Win98 re-install

I had to re-install Win 98 FE because of many fatal execptions during startup. That problem has cleared but my HP 932C USB attached will not install. This was working flawlessly prior. When I plug in the USB cable I get a prompt that says it can't find file HPZUC00.dll which is in WIN\system (and on install cd)but is looking for it in options\cabs. When I point to it, WIN98 setup starts. I cannot get the USB add hardware wizard to start to add the printer normally whether I try add new hardware or add printer or via USB device detection. Any ideas which direction to head in??? TIA.
 
Not sure if this'll be any help, or too late, but I had the same problem and tried pretty much everything possible and as a last resort, reinstalled win98 FE (oem) over the top again and it worked fine.

I think my initial problem was I installed win98 with the USB option disabled in the BIOS and when I turned it on in the BIOS win98 wouldn't recognise it
 
When you re-installed win98, did you format or just install over? this could be part of your problem. Also check your bios to make sure usb is enabled. have you device plugged in when you install win98 se too.
