I've noticed that inexpensive AA rechargeable batteries come in 2 primary types these days:
A) plain vanilla nimh that lose almost all of their charge in a month or two
B) LSD (low self discharge) nimh (aka 'precharged, ready to use')
These keep 2/3 of a full charge after a year in storage
I was wondering, do any of the USB power packs utilize the same LSD technology? I'd like to have something I can charge up, then keep in storage/backpack for a year and know that they still have 2/3 of a charge.
I have only seen the LSD/precharged moniker on consumer rechargeable batteries, but was hoping that the same tech might be available for usb power packs, since I've loved it with my digital camera. (no more grabbing it and finding out that the batteries are dead after 6 weeks in the drawer)
Thanks!
