USB Ports Stop Working

Hello,

I'm certain if my motherboard (Asus P8Z68-V GEN 3) were living, it would be a she. Once every few weeks the USB (Intel 6 Series/c200 - 1C26) stops functioning and I need to download and install a driver from Asus to get the USB ports working again. Why does this keep happening (and also on a fairly regular schedule)?
