USB Ports on front of case, how do you wire them?

I am thinking about getting an Englight case with 2 usb ports on front.

I am wondering how one would wire these ports, does the motherboard have special connectors or something? Can someone tell me if these motherboards provide a way to connect those front terminals. thanks for your hlep !

In most cases, you'll have 8 individual leads coming from the front of the case. Each one pin connector will be labeled.

You need to make sure your motherboard has a USB header on the board (most do) and you connect the case leads to the proper pins. Your motherboard manual should list the pin descriptions.

just remember most copanies use their own color scheme so you to look at either the wire ends or the wires themselves to read which they are, or your case should have come w/ what color means what... it really depends on teh case, cuz some have them already in blocks and set up to the most commonly used setup while others have each wire with its own little block...

SocrPlyr has nailed it. The wiring varies. Definitely try to get a motherboard with spare headers on the board for USB. I'm not sure how many boards have this. Maybe they all do nowadays for all I know. I can speak for the epox 8kha+ though because I have one. It has 3 internal usb headers plus the regular 2 usb ports on the rear plate. I was lucky because my front USB panel thingie had the same wire coloring scheme as my MB so it was easy to wire.

The KT3 comes with two additional sets, The A7V333 comes with one or two.

well i got the MSI mobo.. it has 2 usb 2.0 connectors is all i see..

and each connecter has 10 pins per usb port. wtf how can i connect the front ones that only have 4 pins needed.
