Hello all.

I've had one really bad week when it comes to my computer. My psu died last monday, after an hour of failure testing i decided to buy a new hiper psu 530 w modular, one thing i'm really sad about is that i accedently made a scratch on my 6 months old 24" flat dell monitor during the failure testing, hopefully dell can replace the protective film and make a repair.

Whats "good" is that I now have everything set up and working except for one thing. My USB ports on my motherboard seem to not work at all. I cant figure out where the problem lies, it could be the motherboard that took a hit when my Antec SmartPower psu died, However, everything else seem to work. I've also tried connecting a usb cable the port on the motherboard which gives two extern usb ports, but they arent working either.

EDIT:
According to the device manager, all universal serial busses are working as they should. The problem is that there is no response when i plug in any usb device.

System

Motherboard: Asus P5B Deluxe
Processor: Core 2 Duo E6300
Memory: G.Skill HZ 6400 2X1 GB.
Video:Ati Sapphire X1600
Harddrive:Raptor 36G Sata
Psu: Hiper Typer R 530w Modular.

All help and advice is appreciated
Thanks.

motherboard took a hit when the psu died. rma the board. you could try reinstalling windows, but i highly doubt you will have the usb working after that since its the mobo at fault when drivers show no problems and usb doesnt even detect a device when connecting one.
