USB ports fails..!

Hi guys..

My Mouse and DSL modem who is connected by USB sometimes when i'm playing or just surfing on the net just fails and simple shuts off by his one... i cant figure what the hell is making this happen.. is so damn boring! , anyone has an idea what the heck is causing this?

if you're using xp then try unchecking the power saving feature for usb root hub in device manager!

My wife's ASUS CUSL2 mobo does that too but only on the USB header mounted there by the PS/2 ports. The other headers have no problem. It does this in 98SE, ME, and XP. I think there's a problem with the mobo itself. She just uses the other headers. To me, it's not worth RMA'ing the board.
