Whats up and Good Morning!

Okay I have an HTPC, (God bless these things!) and I'm quickly running out of space on my(3) 160 gig hard drives [IDE Channel 1 Master HD, Slave, HD.... IDE Channel 2 Master HD, Slave DVD+RW)....I've archiving my dvd collection onto it -=-=-> about 1 gig divx for each, I have about 1000 movies!


I also have a portable 160 gig hard drive IDE - hooked into one of those external cases

but every time it boots it has to be detected, scan all the files, etc. is there any way I can have it act as a permanent hard drive?

I don't have room in the case for another IDE channel, so this is the only viable option for now...

My external USB 2 hard drive doesn't go through all that. It just shows up and works. Maybe you need to turn off autoplay for it?
