Anker is a good brand. They say several months and it should hold almost all of its charge.

Thanks that is what I got but bigger maH one.

So several months. I am hoping 4 months at least.

Should I use the battery backup before charging it again in 4 months ?

Four months and it should hold almost all of its charge, no problem. If you can, it's not a bad idea to top it off before charging with it. Also, it might lose a bit of charge if exposed to extreme temperatures or fluctuations in temperatures. If you're just sticking it in a closet somewhere, that's fine.

not sure how "Four months and it should hold almost all of its charge" translates into anything specific, it does not contain any data that would indicate the power loss factor in it.

I'm guessing the number in the model is also its battery size. after 4 months you will probably have lost 1/4 of it. I have a 15000 pack by Into that I believe I charged before christmas, and might have used once (not to full charge anything) since then. It is sitting at %69 now.

They recommend that you discharge and recharge the battery at least once every 4 months to extend the life of the battery. I use it to recharge stuff like my Kindle and Shield controller and remote so it gets drained and recharged periodically.

Thanks so are you saying actually use it, even if I don't have to, every 4 months as well ?

It's a good idea to use it on occasion to keep it in good working order. Like cars and engines, batteries don't like to sit still for very long periods of time. They need to be used to stay healthy. Four months is a good benchmark. Charge up a bunch of stuff with it, drain it a bit then charge it back up and you're good for a few more months.

Lithium ion batteries will permanently lose some capacity after long term storage. To minimize such permanent capacity loss, batteries have to be stored at around 30-40% charge.
