usb pen drive

as soon as i plug in my usb pen drive to the side usb port, the computer reboots itself. the usb printer i have connected to this side usb port works fine.
the system is running 2k.
if i plug the drive in the back to the usb port of the board.... it works fine....

what's happening here ?

your Header wiring is screwed up. RE-examine your connection and check your mb manual
