USB Pen drive problem

I got a new pen drive for christmas to use to transfer data from my home computer to the school computers. However, when I put it in at school, I can't find the drive. The drive shows up in the hardware profile, but I can't figure out how to access it. I usually have gone to my computer and the drive is listed, but that isn't working. The computers are running xp professional. Any ideas.
 
Maybe the computers at school have limits to how many drive letters they can assign. TweakUI has a setting for specifying which drive letters can be used, so I'm sure there's a registry key controlling that.
