I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. I just upgraded to XP from ME and suddenly, despite having it on the same settings (no acceleration, max sensitivity, Half Life sensitivity of 13), my mouse feels completely different and no amount of fiddling can get it feeling close to the same again.
I'm told that the internal default mouse sampling rate in XP (and indeed NT in general) is different (higher?) than in ME (or any Win 9x kernel OS). Does anyone know if it is possible to change this value back to what it was in ME somehow, maybe through a simple registry change or a more complex way? Thanks in advance, hopefully someone knows the answer to this obscure but important (to me - my aim is now way off!) question.
