USB Mouse just stops working

I changed my PSU and added a stick of ram last night. I tested the machine after doing so and everything was working right (more than right, CS:S used to play at 60FPS and now at same settings 90FPS). I brought the computer back home from my work shop after, and today, my mouse justs stops working (2 minutes after a fresh boot). At first i would reboot again, but now i just started disconnecting the USB cable and reconnecting it. In both cases my mouse starts working again. Its a Logitech MX500 optical. It also skips a lot when it does work.

What could be wrong?

USB Drivers?
Mouse Drivers?
Hardware?

Have you tried multiple USB ports? Maybe you could try the usb refresh-rate hack to solve some of your "skipping" problems. I can't find the google link now though... you may search around. Jiggle the wires where it enters the mouse to make sure they're getting good contact.

I have the same mouse, and the same problem. It isn't my PCs, it's the mouse. Any PC I connect it to has this issue. Wiring maybe? I've been meaning to pop it open and take a look for awile now.....

I've had this mouse horeever and its the first time it's played free-games with me. I've tried many different usb ports. I also plugged in a PS2 mouse for a while and it worked perfectly fine.

I've reinstalled USB drivers as well as Mouse drivers on a few attempts.

It's bloody annoying!!!!
