USB Mouse behaving erratically

ugh

Hi folks,

I've got an Epox 8KHA+ mobo and have been using a USB mouse ever since I bought it couple years ago. However, since recently the mouse has been behaving very erratically. The cursor would jump from left to right as if it's been possessed.

I've tried 3 different "mouses", and they all act the same. I even tried to plug the mouse into another USB port (my mobo has only 2; and it's USB1.1). Strangely, when I used the USB<->PS2 converter, it was ok. I thought it was the USB port which is malfunctioning, but seems like this isn't the case as I could connect my USB drives and card reader to it.

Any ideas? Oh BTW, I've just reformatted WinXP as well. My first installation lasted 3 years 😉

Thanks.
