USB keyboard keeps reinitializing...

I have my brand new Kensington SlimType keyboard plugged into my Shuttle XPC SN45G. At least once every 15 minutes or so, the indicator lights will light up and reset as if the computer had been restarted. If I was typing something, it would be repeating the last character for several seconds until the keyboard starts to respond again. I tried it with my laptop and didn't experience the problem, though it's possible that I may have missed it because I wasn't doing too much typing.

Is this a common problem? Is it related to the keyboard or the motherboard/USB chipset?

I think it maybe power related. Tried all usb slots?
Check your usb stuff in device manager. Make sure its not set to allow windows to turn off device to save power.

I just disabled the power-save feature for three "USB Root Hub" entries in the Device Manager. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

No luck...it's still doing it.


I guess I have to verify for sure that it doesn't do this on other systems before I email Shuttle about this.
