USB Kegel exercises?

I just got a USB hub at radio shack. When I insert a male USB key into the female end of the USB hub, I can barely get it out. It's locked so tightly in there that it feels like it could snap the usb key as I try to wriggle it out? Is this normal? Has my hub been doing kegel exercises?

Except I can't do them without my attention diminishing slightly on whatever other task I'm performing. Then when someone wonders why I'm spacing I'm like "Oh fvck! They KNOW!"
