I think my motherboard may be the culprit here but I am not sure..Everytime I connect a usb device (iPod, flash drive, etc) my computer will go to this blue screen with all this mumbo jumbo on it and then restart. I am pretty sure the internal connections are all correct.

@ akhillies- Def. the front ports it always does it..and a few times it has done it on my back usb ports..and sometimes it doesn;t

@ mag- The screen is up for about 2 secs so there isn't much time to see what it says, but it looks similar to the POST screen on a bootup

If it happens to certain ports, it could be a wiring/grounding issue. I've heard someone with a Sonata III case that short-circuited when front USB was used. Double check your wiring.

if running XP go system properties>advanced>startup & recovery>system failure>uncheck "automatically restart"

this should keep the BSOD up which may then give a clue as to the problem.

Hi z1ggy

My first question would be what has changed?
Did you add any new hardware or software before it started ?
It may me a hardware conflict USB ports addressing the same
block of memory as another hardware device or even a software
driver.
Did you update a driver recently?

Are you using Vista SP1? If so google "Vista SP1, USB, Trouble". There are certain systems whose USB got messed by SP1.
