Hi, I have an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe MB. I have been having connection issues with different USB devices and it is very frustrating. I am hoping someone here can give me some suggestions on what to try. I have a printer, an external HD, a scanner, and a Dazzle 150 that are all USB, connected at all times, and work great. I have USB flash drives and cameras that always have issues when I connect them when I need to. A lot of times I will get Device Not Recognized. I will need to plug it in several times for it to even work and as of lately I am not able to get either the camera or USB flash drive to work at all on this system. I am running WinXP Pro. If I plug these same devices into any other machine, I have no issues at all. This is very frustrating and I welcome any suggestions you may have.

Thank You Very Much,

Chad

I do already have a USB card in the system. But on that suggestion, I checked to see where the USB Hub I was using was plugged into. It was plugged into the MB, so I switched a device and plugged the Hub into the card. The camera and the flash drive worked the first time after this. It does'nt make any sense to me, but it worked and that is what I wanted.

Thanks,

Chad

Probally was a problem of voltage (unless your hub is self-powered). In the DevManager, you can check the power draw on each usb channel. It'll tell you what devices are using how much voltage. Might help if you have any more problems....
