Hello, I recently upgraded to a Abit KT7 Raid Motherboard and a Duron 600. I have this problem. My computer will work fine for about 5 minutes or so and then USB just stops working. It works fine then quits. I can get it to quit right away if I play a avi file. It is very weird. I'm running Windows 98 SE and I have the USB patch installed and all the latest drivers? Anyone know anything? Also, the USB is on it's own IRQ.
 
USB patch? As far as I know the patch is only for Win95...maybe you actually messed it up putting in that patch? Make sure you arent running too many USB periferals on it..it can only take 500mA and upto 12MB bandwidth.. USB cams and WinTV USB can overload it..
 
Thanks guys, but get this, it just went away by itself. I gave up and just started playing games for a couple of hours. And USB still worked. Crazy. I rebooted many times, fired up a movie, and USB still was going. Pretty crazy.
