The easiest way to distinguish the version would be, to browse the 'Updates' folder of the OEM CD. The versions are distinguished by the USB Supplement that they provide.
Windows 95 OEM CD does not have an 'Updates' folder.
Windows 95 OSR 2, 2.1 do not have an 'Updates' folder but have the USB supplement under '\other\usb' folder. In addition to this the USB Supplement is only one file under this folder called 'usbsupp.exe'
Windows 95 OSR 2.5 has the 'Updates' folder under '\other\updates' which also contains the USB Supplement folder. The USB Supplement in OSR 2.5 consists of three files, OEMUSB.exe, USBSUPP.exe and USBUPD2.exe.
