What are some of the key features I should look for in a USB Hub? I notice a large variance in pricing which prompted the question. Thanks, GG.
 
Powered USB hubs(have there own power supply) are better since some USB devices need more power,so I prefer them to passive type ones.
 
another is the location of the extra ports. some have them in the front, and some in the back.

if you plug and unplug parts a lot, the front ones are more convenient. else, the back ones are fine.

self powered is a must, some devices require them.
