Does anyone know of the cheapest hub that can work with a mac mini. I need more USB ports, but I tried plugging my hub in, and it gave me that dreaded low power notice. ughh. What can I do?

This is what I use. It has two usb connectors just in case you need more juice from the system to the hub. this thing works like a charm. i have a usb cord extended 26 ft to a printer and that still works fine.

Looks like it gets extra power from a PS/2 port. I don't think Mac Minis have PS/2 ports.

This is the cheapest USB hub (that comes with it's own AC adapter, so that it will be self powered), that I could find on Newegg. Pretty good brand too.

I have some noname USB hub that has a Y cable with an extra USB connector for power.

You shouldn't need extra power though unless you have devices connected that are drawing extra power from the ports (or maybe the MacMini doesn't provide proper USB power, or you have other things connected to the root ports?)

no, it doesnt get extra power from a ps/2 port, though there is probably an adapter for it. it has 2 usb ports on the wire end of the hub. if you need extra power, use both. otherwise, you can just use 1 of them.

Mik3y-Do you use it with your mac mini? Does it work fine? Right now, I currently have a Logitech wirless keyboard, and Logitech MX700 mouse plugged in.
