i'm getting error messages when i try to shutdown with my usb cable still in the machine, blue screen with some error, but when i take the cable out everything is fine with the shutdown. any ideas? i'm running win98

i connected a digital camera to it, but when i shut down, the camera isn't connected, only the cable. i have an abit bx6 running a o/c celeron 633 at 950, 192MB Ram, 40G HD, SBLive X-gamer, TNT2 32MB video, and everything works fine normally, except when i shutdown with that cable still in the usb slot, and like i said, nothing is even attached to the other end of the cable

Have you tried shutting down with the camera still attached to the cable? Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers for the camera?
