Looking for a quality USB headset with 40mm drivers and a mic as a present for a mate.

Somewhere around the $50 range is good, a little more is OK too.

I've always used speakers and never had a need to use a good headset so don't have much experience in the area, anyone got any good suggestions.

Thanks for any help in the matter.

The typical Sennheiser PC150 is always a forum favorite

i have a set of the logitechs (gotta look up the model) that were okay. they sound great, but i could never get over bypassing my sb xfi to use a little usb chip for sound. worked great with my laptop tho.

those are the ones i have, they are up in my closet now. if you're using speakers for your main sound and these for teamspeak they work great.

last edit: they take awhile to get used to. the first month or so they hurt my ears a bit, but they broke in eventually.
